Make sure you keep an eye on them and turn semi frequently. Nice crunch on the outside and fluffy in the middle.

Been making for about six years. I put in a ziplock with olive oil, salt pepper and fresh pressed garlic about an hour before grilling.

You can grate Parmesan cheese on them when you pull them.

  2. Any particular kind of potatoes work better than others?

I like the sound of this. Do you have a time & temp cooked @

Nice! We do sweet potatoes on the grill all the time but never white. Will definitely try!

My dad from Romania loves them this way. It’s old school way he grew up eating them. Just pure potato flavor.

I slice the the long way on a mandoline and soak in Paul Newman olive oil and vinegar dressing for 2 hours. It takes a while to penetrate the dense potato flesh. It goes great with grilled bell pepper, zucchini, onions and chinese eggplant.

  7. I slice mine down the middle and add a pat of butter and a sliced onion.

  8. This is the way, so easy and they don’t fall through the grates

I’ve been grilling red potatoes marinated in Italian dressing for years. They’re a small. When quartered they fall through a grate if I don’t use a grill topper. Gonna give this method a try. It looks way simpler.

If you lightly boil them with a little vinegar before for about 10 minutes, it gives the potato a stronger integrity for a crisp outside with a pillowy inside

  11. I but a whole russet on there, brush with oil and have the tastiest baked potato.

Those look perfect. I usually start them covered in cold water with a little salt on the stovetop, bring up to just a boil (6-7 minutes usually), then turn off and drain before grilling with some oil. The par cook has always worked well for me and I do the same thing when I grill carrots. Just softens them up a bit and reduces the time needed on the grill to be cooked just right. But you’re clearly not doing anything wrong here!

Now try sweet potatoes…you’re welcome 😉👍

My grill is usually too crowded so I prefer to stick them in the air fryer. Finish with a little fresh parsley.

This is a great idea! We do it with sliced avocados!

Toss some sweet potatoes in some oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon and grill them, then take them off and toss them with a bit of brown sugar…so good.

Par boiling them makes them turn out even better.

Interesting. I don’t want smoky potatoes. I want smoked meats, but that’s all.
