Ingredients
For the filling:
- 1.5 kg stewing beef, cut into cubes
- 2-3 tbsp flour (for dusting the beef)
- 2 medium onions, medium dice
- 1 large carrot, medium dice
- 3 celery stalks, medium dice
- 6 garlic cloves, roughly chopped or crushed
- 2 bunches green onions, whites thinly sliced, greens cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp gochujang
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 liter beef stock
For assembly:
- 4 to 6 strips of bacon
- 1 package puff pastry (2x 10" x 10" sheets) thawed
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, freshly shredded (Pre-shredded is gross)
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Are the directions to making this just making the stew and then adding it to the puff pastry?
