Editor’s Note: In 2021, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!
Welcome to our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley Pasta Wars. Three entrants from the Valley will compete to be declared the winner of Best Italian Food in the Valley.
Our judgement will be based upon several factors including style of quality, presentation, taste, and overall impression.
We got a chance to visit and dine at three delectable and quality Italian restaurants here in the Valley. Each had their own spin on the traditional pasta flare that Italian food is known for.
Our first stop was at Trattoria Fratelli and our favorite dish was Pappardelle & Beef.

This was once again a tough one to pick a winner. Each dish was amazing. We were the closest we have ever been to awarding a tie. But since we make the big bucks (wink wink) we must choose a winner.
And the winner is…
The critic crew is proud to declare the winner of our first-ever Pasta Wars is Martino’s Italian Traditions!
As close as this one was, the deciding factor was that the pasta dishes here taste like home cooking with an appealing sauce. They also have a robust house dressing for their salads and freshly-toasted bread to accompany your entrée. Congratulations to our winner!
We encourage everyone to stop by our three entrants and have their own War to see if you agree with our decision.
We will now get back into our restaurant reviews for a brief period. We hear there are some now eateries around the Valley. And then we will be back for our next “Wars” series.
If you have a restaurant you would like us to visit or review, whether a place you like or are nervous to try, please message us on Facebook or email lvfoodcritics@outlook.com and let us know. We thank everyone for the recommendations and the kind words we have received.
