  1. I like 1 & 2, your vandyking on the kiwis is nice.

3 looks amateur for lack of a better word, but I’m not sure exactly how I would fix it tbh

Did you charge for it? Then it is professional.

To me, the first one needs some uniformity in the layering of the orange and melon slices, prune the grapes, and trim the strawberries. The others don’t trigger my OCD much.

Yeah. It looks decent. You definitely didn’t reinvent the wheel. Pretty standard. But certainly passable.

Too many tomato’s on the Veg Tray IMO. Maybe get some multi-Color green top carrot’s next time. I always like to incorporate some roasted veg in mine too. Even though I know that’s not strictly the definition of crudite.

Get some dips as well. Red pepper hummus or green goddess for the vegetables. Just some simple Greek yogurt with honey for the fruit. Definitely adds a lot.

I would have peeled the kiwis. Nobody wants to eat the skin

  6. Paigenacage

If you meant to say delicious, yes. I would tear all of this up. It looks great & tempting coming from someone that’s very hungry right now. Really hope there’s some dips for all this.

Basic critiques: don’t ever do what you did to the cucumber again. If you want some contrast try peeling every other swipe then slice it up. The honeydew is sliced too thin & too long. Pineapple & celery are also too big. Just cut the celery in half lengthwise. Watermelon is too big too. & no one’s prob going to eat the kiwi. I’d do a few decorative ones then peel & slice up the rest. Cut tops off of strawberries in the future. Arrange so that when someone picks up a few pieces the whole display doesn’t come tumbling down.

Everything should be ready to eat or a garnish and it should be relatively obvious which is which so people aren’t putting half an unpeeled kiwi on their plate and then trying to figure out how they are supposed to eat it. A whole kiwi as a garnish is fine but there should also be peeled kiwis for eating. Same with whole strawberries etc

  8. feraldegen420

that must have been a really long cucumber

  9. Adventurous_Wolf4358

Who’s eating those huge slices of melon?

  10. Looks like it could be on a cruise ship buffet. So, yeah, decent.

  11. doctorbanjoboy

I love the plating of the watermelon and kiwi!

  12. Odd_Sir_8705

I would have segmented the oranges, de-vine the grapes, oiled the tomatoes, cut the broccoli more manageable, and thinned out the celery. Overall i would give it a 7.5/10. Just a little more attention to details and those would go from looking like $50 platters to $100 platters easily

I get 3 is crudités platter but even a 20 sec blanch in salted water, then ice bath will make the green pop and make them look much more appetising without losing the raw crunch. Ditto cauliflower but it won’t affect the colour.

  14. vodka_tsunami

    The fruits are OK.

The broccoli e cauliflower look raw. Is it raw?

How are people going to eat it? (I mean, is it a entrée, a side, are sauces available etc)

If I was your chef and you made those, I would say they look great. Fruit platter looks great, I’m not sure where you are going with the watermelon kiwi combo, but still looks nice. I would worry about the tomatoes rolling off when people eat the cucumbers, but it still looks very nice.

  16. NeckBeard137

They are a bit boring. Comity mon type of stuff.

  17. Wooden-Habit-5266

The 2nd pic looks really nice. The rest looks a little too organized, props to whoever cut all the fruit and veg though. Knife skills are on point.

  18. FairyPenguinStKilda

Make the fruit pieces bite sized, not huge slices, peel the kiwi, trim the grape stems, halve all the strawberries on the plate. Add more colours – watermelon, loganberries. It looks messy and cluttered. Lightly steam the cauliflower and broccoli so it looks bright green. Peel the cucumber in stripes. Put the tomatos down the middle, with cucumber either side, then the the yellow capsicum. Slice the celery evenly and half the size it is there. Add pickled radishes or pickled carrot, pickled turnips.

  19. MinnesnowdaDad

How are you supposed to eat those kiwis with the furry skin still on them?

  20. this sub has damned us, not one of us is walking through heavens pearly gates without being legitimately disappointed theres no ramp

  21. Dixienormus42

Honestly don’t see what’s not to like. We got a watermelon AND a strawberry throne? Kiwi crowns??? Melon landing strip, pineapple landing strip, a beeline of peppers and a cruciferous graveyard? My only advice is…. more ramps. You can never have enough ramps. I see you blueberry pit. MY MAN!

  22. There’s going to be a tomato avalanche if anyone eats the cucumber
