I have been tracking diligently for almost 3 weeks and was so unmotivated by my progress. I increased my calorie intake just below my maintenance for 2 days and this happens

Overanalyzing down to the tenths of lbs really isn’t healthy. Down to the tenths of lbs can be water, poop, pee, anything. Just my opinion but I don’t think it’s constructive to do something like this.

is this in pounds or kilograms? Either way I would advise against weighing daily because it can be demotivating, but if this is pounds, you’re absolutely setting yourself up for disappointment lmao

Damn I’m surprised no one else does daily weigh ins to get an average lol

Hey OP I’m also a daily weigher. If it works for you don’t let the naysayers dissuade you 🙂

In my case every weigh-in gets graphed, so I can see my overall trends over time. It’s really powerful data for me to have access to, and it truly helped normalize regular fluctuations in my mind. At first it was easy to get into my own head when the scale went up, but with time and exposure I got used to it and now I don’t have a second thought when I see the scale go up. At this point I have nearly a year’s worth of daily weigh-ins to look back on. It just helps me a lot to have more data.

That said, it totally makes sense that a lot of people can’t do that. If a person is prone to spiraling or reacting negatively or extremely to their weigh ins, daily weighing is definitely not for them.

Just wanted to give my two cents as a fellow daily weigher 🙂
