The Nevill Holt Festival have announced a partnership with the critically acclaimed restaurant Maison François.
Opened in 2021 by François O’Neill, Ed Wyand and Chef Partner Matthew Ryle, Maison François is one of the UK’s leading French brasseries. Marking Nevill Holt’s first full scale pop-up restaurant The Garden by Maison François is set in the picturesque grounds of the estate and will be serving delicious French classics all day every day during the festival, which takes place from 30 May, and runs until 22 June 2025.
Diners can enjoy an à la carte menu with dishes like oeufs mayonnaise, moules marinière, steak frites and ratatouille as well as some of Maison François’ signature desserts. Head gardener Andy Bretherick is curating a unique experience with the ‘gardeners of Nevill Holt’ to create a beautiful dining room laden with pots and plants as well as sourcing produce from Nevill Holt’s own garden and the local area.
The Summer Menu offers a 3-course set menu, with à la carte menu dishes ranging with there is also a children’s menu and a bar snacks menu. No festival ticket is required if patrons book in advance, and walk-ins can access the restaurant with a gardens ticket.
Additionally, attendees for Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte can enjoy a Maison François 3-course ‘Summer Menu’ during the long interval. Founded by François O’Neill, Ed Wyand and Executive Chef Partner, Matthew Ryle in 2020, Maison François is a brasserie and wine bar in the heart of St James’s.
It pays homage to the grand brasseries of Paris, Lyon and Alsace, whilst incorporating wider influences across the menu. Open from early morning to midnight, Maison François focuses on simplicity and seasonality, beginning first thing with breads and patisserie fresh from the in-house bakery.
Throughout the day, guests can watch the chefs at work around the floating pass in the open
kitchen.
