How To Eat More Vegetables Daily

Incorporating more vegetables into your daily diet can be easy and enjoyable with a few creative approaches. Here’s how you can use salads, smoothies, juices, hummus, and soups to increase your vegetable intake:

Salad:

Start with a Base: Use a variety of greens like spinach, kale, arugula, or mixed lettuce.
Add Color: Include a mix of colorful veggies such as tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, radishes, and red cabbage.
Protein Boost: Add beans, chickpeas, or lean proteins like grilled chicken or tofu.
Healthy Fats: Include avocado, nuts, or seeds.
Dress It Up: Make a simple, healthy dressing with olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs.
Smoothie:

Green Smoothie: Blend spinach or kale with fruits like bananas, apples, or berries. Add a liquid base like almond milk or coconut water.
Veggie Mix: Combine carrots, cucumbers, and a small amount of beetroot with fruits for a sweet taste.
Boosters: Add chia seeds, flax seeds, or a spoonful of almond butter for extra nutrition.
Juice:

Green Juice: Juice a mix of leafy greens, cucumber, celery, and a bit of green apple or lemon for sweetness.
Root Veggie Juice: Combine carrots, beets, and ginger for a vibrant and nutrient-rich drink.
Hydration Mix: Add watery vegetables like cucumbers and tomatoes for a refreshing juice.
Hummus:

Veggie Dips: Use hummus as a dip for raw veggies like carrot sticks, bell pepper strips, celery, and cherry tomatoes.
Veggie Add-ins: Blend cooked veggies like roasted red peppers, spinach, or beets into your hummus for added flavor and nutrition.
Sandwich Spread: Use hummus as a spread in your sandwiches or wraps, adding an extra layer of vegetables.
Soup:

Vegetable Soup: Make a hearty vegetable soup with a variety of veggies like carrots, celery, tomatoes, zucchini, and leafy greens.
Creamy Veggie Soup: Blend cooked vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, or butternut squash for a creamy soup without added dairy.
Add to Any Soup: Enhance any soup by adding extra vegetables like peas, corn, or spinach towards the end of cooking.
By incorporating these methods, you can easily increase your daily vegetable intake in a delicious and versatile way.

  1. Annette I just adore you and thank you for all of this wonderful information you are giving us! I live in a very small town with only one grocery store that is amazingly expensive. I wanted to give encouragement to those who live like myself or are having a hard time affording groceries. Azure standard delivers to my town once a month and we go to Costco (2hrs away) about once a month. I also have a garden! I buy in bulk and preserve by freezing, dehydrating, canning and soon.. freeze drying! It helps to be able to get these organic and yummy fresh vegetables she is discussing. It takes effort.. but as she says, our body is a temple, it deserves to be treated as such. Indulge in some YT videos about preservation and you won’t regret it! I’m on week 12 of your Treasures of Healthy Living Bible study and I’m so sad it is coming to an end! ❤❤❤❤

  2. This channel just popped into my recommended right after my workout. I know it’s the algorithm, but I’m going to call it fate 😂

  3. Thank you for the book recommendations! I think especially the diabetes one would be of great help to me. Recently I’ve become suspicious that I have diabetes type 1 so I really need to eat many vegetables to get enough magnesium and potassium.

  4. So would organic frozen cooked vegetables count. I know I have almost half to cup of those. I drink about 4 to 8 ounces of blended juice a day. So I should eat more. I do eat fruit too. Would this count with the 9 cups? Thank you. I so enjoy you

  5. I love eating salads; i had to stop purchasing organic produce because it was being spray with toxic chemicals it taste bland no flavor

  6. l would love to hear your thoughts on the oxalate issues with some veggies & fruits. l wonder if all fruits & veggies were in the garden of Eden or of ancient times, or maybe the oxalate issues come from what was genetically created by man & not truly beneficial to our bodies.

  7. I am starting to freeze dry stuff, so it will easy to have the equivalent to have the 7 cups of vegetables. How much fruits are you supposed to 7 daily also.

  8. Unfortunately, the fruits & veggies of today are not the same as they were in biblical times. Glyphosate is being sprayed on fruits/veggies at an alarming rate. Even organic produce show high amounts of glyphosate. Bet bet would be to only shop seasonally & locally at a farmers market.
Also, there are anti- nutrients in the produce which are defense chemicals such as Oxalates that cause so many problems in digestion & bloating issues.

  9. I have done vegetables daily similar to this.
    However, I prefer fruits more.
I can eat up to 10 servings or more of fruits every day.
Eating a lot of vegetables will lose a lot of weight.

  10. Could someone please please if you know the answer , please share with me. My cabinet is so full of supplements, some never opened yet and I want to simplify. I keep reading that liver is natures multi vitamin. I see where people freeze it into cubes to consume. **My question is if liver is that good will it pretty much replace all except enzymes which I saw on a different video as how important that is. I just started iodine drops so would iodine, liver and enzymes pretty much cover it all?

  11. If you start to grow two large front teeth and long ears, we will all know why. LOL. God Bless.

  12. Oh, I know this is complete and utter psychotic bullshit by a schitzophrenic methhead. but you're not exactly convincing anyone to eat more vegetables by peddling drugs.
