Rully 1er Cru Les Champs Cloux 2021
Nose: Cherry, cranberry (highlighting the wine’s crisp acidity), strawberry, subtle oak and earthy undertones.
Palate: Fresh and vibrant with noticeably high acidity and fine, integrated tannins. Red fruits are super expressive, with light oak that adds structure without overwhelming. The finish reveals earthy tones that I assume is due to 2021 being cool-vintage in Burgundy.
Overall: Drinking very well now, but the structure and acidity suggest it has the some aging potential (3-5 years).

I just had the 2019 Rully 1er Chardonnay a few days ago (I’m on vacay so everyday is Friday) and it was delicious
I had a good night:
– Domaine muré, cremant D’Alsace
– Domaine Weinbach pinot gris 2022
– Paul Chavy, Puligny-Montrachet 2022
– Silvaner Eiswein Rheinessen 2018
I just had a 05 Esk Valley Merlot (supermarket wine) for fun, and it funned
I would also like a Rully

Actually pretty geeeewwwwddd.
Had a 2015 LRA 904 recently, what a pleasant difference from the 2016 LRA Viña Arana I had two weeks back.
Trying to figure out what to take to dinner tonight too tbh.
Marcelle de Changey Chassange-Montrachet 1er cru ‘Abbey de morgeot’, 2017
Was a great deal couple of years ago in the supermarkt (20 euro’s), and thought let’s give it a crack with the age having it.
Did not disappoint at all, honeysuckled/confit of lemon, acidity well integrated, in perfect drinking window.
In Meursault with my dad, having a good night.

Both a first for me. Wouldn’t want to pay Coche prices in the US but for €75 it was sublime.
same thing I drink every Friday, Champagne.

Canned IPA. Cheap rosé. I’m meeting my girlfriend’s friends for the first time, and I am so happy.
I had a bottle of random Pet Nat (really good tbh) and continued with some white port.
Hopefully, tomorrow won’t be too deadly haha.

2023 Marnet Pinot, McDougall Ranch (Sonoma)
Too young to really appreciate, but I’ve got a case of it and not nearly enough room in the fridge for it. So a bottle is open on the counter for drinking tonight.
My first (little) glass of guigal’s CdR. Very impressed at this price, especially giving it an hour or so to open up. If anything i think most of the reviews i see out there slightly underrate it

Regular Veuve that’s been sitting in my fridge for a few months. Got a new job this week and quit my old one.
