If it says to be refrigerated then refrigerate it. Can I ask, What do people have against refrigerating hot sauce?Β
Not all hot sauces will stay good outside of the refrigerator.Β

None of my sauces are refrigerated. I hate cold sauce. They live in the cupboard or on the counter.

It probably won’t make you sick but the taste and color will change pretty significantly fairly quickly.

I donβt refrigerate mine

I’d say no. I don’t always and unless you have a bottle open for a extraordinarily long time I wouldn’t worry about it

Yes.

You dont have to, it primarily to reserve more of the flavor and the color, so don’t diminishon you . But I usually use what’s in the bottle before that happens.

Unless youβre not gonna use that up in a week or two. I wouldnβt .

No. As long as thereβs no fruit(yes I get this are botanically classified as fruit, but you all damn well know what I mean) in it, youβre fine. The problem comes from people making contact with the bottle and their food. Cross contamination. Donβt do that and youβre ok for years.

Doesn’t matter either way. I usually put mine in fridge after opening it. Never noticed difference either way.

Brother I’ve left hot sauces in the cabinet for 6+ months and never had an issue.

Refrigeration is to slow oxidation. Like if you want something to last longer before going stale, keep it in the fridge. If you use stuff quickly it doesn’t matter as much, like how restaurants don’t refrigerate ketchup but you might want to if you don’t drink it
