To anyone who has grown black varieties, would this be considered at the breaker stage?
Tried to Google what the breaker stage looks like for darker tomatoes but didn't find much.

Depending on the variety, that could be ripe or almost ripe. I go by squish level on tomatoes where the color is non standard. Especially important on high anthocyanin varieties.

The tag at the nursery called these “black cherry tomatoes” but it doesn’t look like they actually get that dark.

This is past the breaker stage. The breaker stage is the very first hint of color.

First hint of red or any color? I have a lot of red varieties starting to turn yellow but are more firm than the black cherry.

Black cherry tomato. My absolute favorite
Definitely ready to harvest. Can sit out for days to fully ripen.
As soon as it has started to turn, it will continue to ripen off-vine over the next few days you’re fine
I grow them. Like most, I give them a tiny squeeze to see how firm they are. If there’s a tone bit of give, they get picked
Looks good to go.
Yes.
They look exactly what black cherries look like or also called chocolate cherry. More chocolate than black but yeah.
Eat it and decide

This is the colour mine were last year when I would say they were ripe.
