2023 Ojai flight last nightby ConclusionTop630 1 Comment ConclusionTop630 3 months ago First time having Ojai. Below are my basic notes. All are 2023 vintage. All of these except the Riesling had been open for a daySyrah- My favorite actually. Good tannin structure. Not inky like many Syrahs I have had. It’s been awhile since I had a Santa Barbara SyrahRiesling- pretty good. I noted the petrol smell was not was strong with this as with other Rieslings I had had but still enjoyableChardonnay- very enjoyable once it warmed up. A hint of butter but not too much. Just right. Very Old Worldy in my opinionPinot Noir- very enjoyable. Had a nice balance between earthiness and dark fruit. Was singing. Good colorI need to revisit Ojai and Santa Barbara wines more.Write A CommentYou must be logged in to post a comment.
