A new restaurant offering an upscale Mediterranean dining experience is on the way. RAHA Mediterranean will open to the public on Friday, June 6.
Located at 4956 E. 35th St. N., this is right off K-96 and Oliver in the District 96 development. This restaurant is brought to you by one of the brothers who opened FioRito Ristorante. So one thing you can expect is a lot of locally sourced food that is prepared and made in house.

An interesting note about RAHA Mediterranean is it’s nestled inside the pickleball entertainment complex, TapNPaddles. While you can access the restaurant from inside TapNPaddles, there’s also a separate exterior entrance as seen in the very first picture of this blog.
Once inside, there’s plenty of seating available in the form of two tops, six tops and bench seating for parties of 4.

RAHA Mediterranean also has a screened in patio with fans and heaters. This should keep the area cool or warm depending on the weather, and the bugs should be a non-issue in the heat of the summer.
The screens can also be raised for those beautiful days in Wichita where the weather is 100% cooperating with us. I know, those can be few and far between.

And then there’s the food of RAHA Mediterranean.
For full transparency, I was invited to a pre-opening event where meals were being prepared for training purposes for the staff. Since I do not review comped food visits, I’ll just share what we served on the training day.
House made pita bread
Roasted mushroom hummus made me locally produced Myers mushrooms
Smoked brisket hummus
House made pickles, Baba ganoush, labneh, and Muhammara
Falafel and lamb kofta
Fattoush and watermelon salad
