Love it. Hey, what does this variety of squash taste like?

I am a tromboncino girl through and through. Why grow anything else!?! Hee hee that said your harvest is about a month ahead of mine! Can I preach? Unsolicited? Ok here goes. At end of season leave some hanging and they will turn yellow to orange and be like a butternut squash. Oh. You already heard the message? Sorry. But someone here might not have heard how awesome these things really are!!!!

You could stick some legs into that and stick it into you front yard as a lawn decoration.

Just harvested my second of the season. They’re going nuts this year. This one is about to become soup but has been stored wrapped in newspaper under a bed since September of last year. This variety is incredible, imo!
That’s a nice swan, little green but otherwise healthy.

Awesome!
I planted mine late – it was a last minute replacement for an indeterminate tomato that died about a month after transplanting, so I am way behind. Do you know how it does in the Texas heat?
Mine is climbing and vining well and has a bunch of male flowers. I’ve seen some tiny females but they never get beyond an inch or so long, and don’t seem to mature or open up where I could hand pollinate.
I have been gently fertilizing it, including calcium and magnesium. It’s in a raised bed that was very well fertilized at the beginning of spring and should have plenty of life from that left.
