Found this bottle at a local retailer near me today (NY State) and I couldn't believe the condition; it was practically untouched! It was chilled to the right temp and looked well taken care of, and boy it did not disappoint. Cork was moist and pulled easy, and the wine was gorgeous! Beautiful red/brown color. Notes of candied red fruit, licorice, and fig. Maybe a teeny tiny bit too much fig. I'm not an expert by any means, but I'd say this wine is actually a couple years past it's best opening date, but it was still incredibly gorgeous! Paired with coq au vin.

Dang, that is a rare find! Glad to hear its hitting some good notes!!
I’m sure it was past it’s prime drinking window. But I’m SURE it was fantastic. Napa cab is best when we’ll aged! (IMO)
