So, these were seeds from yellow flavor bombs I bought at the grocery store a few years back. For sure hybrids. The first year they all seemed pretty normal. These are still the F2 seeds from the grocery store. Never expected to see crazy stuff like this. I hope they taste good! Found my first blush of color today!

  1. This is the late-night infomercial of tomatoes: “But wait, there’s more!”

My sweet 100s did this as well as sending water sprouts off sun leaves. I never seen them do that before.

    lol they look like grapes!!

Don’t be telling too many people though. You may well have broke the law by germinated copyright seeds. Yes, this is how stupid reality has become.

Honestly – it makes me want to grow grocery store stuff more. Cannabis = cool! Tomato = illegal. Challenge accepted!

FWIW – I learned gardening from cannabis growing : -)

I’ve seen this occasionally on Sungolds.

Uh, can you say…prolific? I hope they taste good, too.

  7. Lovely mutant. 😂 I want this for all my cherry tomatoes. 🍅 Did you hard prune before or after they grew like that? 📝

Hard pruning will cause suckers to appear in non-usual places.

I see this often on the plants I prune the hardest.

I have a few cherry tomatoes I prune to keep one main stem so I can train them on arched trellises over my garden paths. They will form suckers/growth tips everywhere.

Ildi and Barry’s crazy cherry look a bit like this in terms of fruit set.
