You need more soil. Pepper plants can get like 3+ feet tall.

Transplant them in bigger containers with more soil.

Mine are in pots this size and they do just fine and have the last 3 years prior. I’d leave them now. Just pour in some dirt to fill in the space, being careful not to bury the leaves.

Do you intend to keep them in pots? You will eventually need bigger pots. One of the best options is to buy a pack of 5 gallon grow bags. Let them grow in those pots until the roots fill out the soil then transfer them over to the bags.

Sit back, wait for bugs or mysterious issues to show up, then try again next year

  5. Remember what works and what doesn’t so you’ll be ahead of the game next year.

They look good and If they are growing fast you are doing everything correct. Just stick them in bigger pots soon, but don’t show them too much love they will sense it and start being dramatic.

What size pots are those? Picture angles can be deceiving

Put them in much larger pots, fill soil to top, start fertilizing weekly.

Why do 3/4 of reddit pepper growers not fill their pots?

Eat them. Eat them now before the pepper burglar gets to them

  11. Just wait longer, play defense against bugs, and water then when they ask for it.

Fill the pots all the way up before you plant for one….
