I’m making shredded beef tostadas this week and I want to make a banging habanero salsa. I have a couple of three different recipes I typically do for habanero, but I’d like to try something different this time.
What are some of your recipes or hacks for an amazing habanero salsa?

Probably doesn’t count as a salsa but I like to thinly slice them with red onion and “pickle” them in lime juice. Char them or raw.
Edit: spelling
2 lbs raw habaneros. Blend on high for 2 mins. /s
Keep it simple… handful of habs, lime juice and salt in a blender.
I have experimented a lot with habaneros. I love them and love it spicy. So far my favorite is a pound of roasted habaneros, an ounce of chile de arbol rehydrated in chicken broth, a quarter of a fresh sweet onion and a quarter of a roasted sweet onion, blend it all together with about 2 tbsp neutral oil, lime juice, and salt to taste. It’s great with some cilantro if you are into that too.
You can also add roasted tomatoes to dilute it down a bit but I love it as written.
This chiltomate recipe from Rick Bayless. https://youtu.be/H-BduziRdTY?si=67J3qCgJJ9Ue-Rut
Looking forward to having actual garden tomatoes to make this
Or for an ultra hot version, make kut. https://youtu.be/lON7YxNweq4?si=6Hc_G56zGH7qa3Bp

Broil 10 habs, 1 small white onion, 4 garlic cloves until black.
Grind in molcajete with a pinch of salt.
Add juice from 1 lime and drizzle of olive oil.
Is that your photo? That’s a great photo. That salsa looks delicious!
