    Harvest the male flowers (after hand pollinating females if able) then stuff and fry or bake! The flowers only bloom once in the morning then die.

    Yeah, your first male! They’re always earlier than the female ones, so the start attracting bees for pollination. Once you have a female (with small fruit) and male (just a flower on a stem) at the same time, the female can be pollinated (by bee or by hand) and will grow into a zucchini

  7. i stopped trying to grow zucchini years ago because my plants never formed female flowers, could never figure out if it was a soil issue or maybe watering. used to have a similar issue with cucumber but ever since i found out about parthenocarpic cucumbers i’ve never had issues.
