Looks great if you make another one, I would cut the spinalis off and serve it separately that tends to cook up to a more well done texture, but still very juicy and delicious for different reasons than the centre eye, which will be much more medium rare

Great job, a bit overdone… crank the coals up really hot next time and build the crust up, less time on the grill

I have to say I adore the two little roasted tomatoes.

Can I ask… Why did you trim the fat like that?

… my favourite part is the fatty-candy you get when you grill that fat over high heat 🤤🤤🤤

  5. Looks good! Did you make it on a kamado grill? Thinking about getting one for an all around smaller/grill.

My birthday is tomorrow, this is exactly what I’m buying and grilling myself. Save money and do it ourselves

  7. Looks solid, nice interior. But in pic 2 you’re getting ash from the last cook on your crust. Cleaning it prior will avoid that.

I used to like them. But the flesh to sear ratio just never did it for me. The crust has most the flavor and with such a deep center, it just gets lost.

For 2 months in a row on my way to work id stop at Walmart and they had 2 tomahawk steaks for $15 each cause of the date..

Cooked perfectly. But you’ll regret that you didn’t cook at least two. I would devour that
