Looks like the sloppy steak from Truffoni’s.

For a chain restaurant The Keg is pretty dependable
Neuraxis
For better or worse I go to a lot of steakhouses for work dinners and to be honest the Keg’s service and twice baked potato punch above their weight class. That said their steak doesn’t really stand up to nicer steakhouses and truthfully it’s worth spending a bit more for a good meal.
That said I’m also a big proponent of just cooking an expensive cut at home and I feel the steak itself at an expensive steakhouses is secondary or tertiary to the experience and wealth signaling but I’ll get off my soap box.

Does the colouring look off to anyone else? Random grey band-ish lines through the meat?

The Keg is a dependable great choice.

I went to The Keg mansion recently for the first time. All our meals were salty as shit, and I like salt. The burger was meh, prime rib over salted, sides nothing special. I would qualify it as a bad meal with good service. The only good bits were the happy hour applies, and they were also salty messes. For the price, not worth it in Toronto. So many better meals to be had around town at a lower price point.

Any where else that’s not really expensive for prime rib anymore? Really liked Smith Bros

There are very few steak houses that Do prime rib better than Keg – at least in GTA, but their wine/beer selection is kinda sad.

Why does everyone in this thread think this is a steak? Sure looks like a honking cut of prime rib to me. And it looks pretty damn good.
