Well done. Is that Kimchi I see on the side there?

That looks great! What marinade did you use?

I found it on YouTube. It’s actually a bulgogi marinade, but similar to galbi.

    3 lbs of meat
    1 cup soy sauce
    1 purreed apple
    6 tablespoons sesame oil
    3 tablespoons white wine
    Two heads of minced garlic
    3 tablespoons brown sugar
    3 chopped green onions
    Lots of cracked pepper.

    I marinated for 4 hours

  4. If you like cilantro, throw some in your marinade. Kicks it up a notch.

Where do you get your flanken cut ribs? I have to go to an asian market to find mine.

  5. That looks incredible!

I just made some galbi/kalbi this weekend for Kogi tacos (Roy Choi’s recipe, along with his green onion slaw, salsa verde, and onion cilantro relish). It was incredibly delicious!

Sliced a tad thick, might want to consider scoring before you marinate. As an alternative cooking method, you can also line your grates with aluminum foil, then poke little holes with chopsticks all over the foil… then cook the galbi on top of that.

This is my favorite! I like to use Trader Joe’s Garlic Sriracha Bbq sauce when I need something quick.
