Mentaiko Tonkatsu Curry for lunch.

I’m not too sure whether this is authentic, but the tonkatsu was pretty well made – crisp, lightly breaded, without tasting greasy.

Haven’t had Mentaiko Mayo on it personally, but it looks pretty damned good

I’m sure some kid somewhere in Japan is putting mentaiko mayo on his tonkatsu like this. Especially with the fukujinzuke, an authentic touch I don’t often see outside Japan. I would totally try it!

The real giveaway that this is not Japan is the rice, it’s clearly not Japanese rice.

You do you, but I ain’t ever turning my back on good old fashioned tonkatsu sauce.

Something acidic, spicy, and umami on a deepfried piece of meat with curry sauce? I see no problem at all, sounds really good

I think it’s one of those don’t knock it till you try it type deals. I’d like to try it.

Katsu curry yes for me but I’d skip that sauce. My favorite is demi-glace
