[Music] hey welcome to Simply Kendrick today we doing a whole roasted chicken hey before we dive into this video don’t forget to subscribe to this channel hit that notification and share this video let’s get it let’s go all right guys real simple let me introduce you to our ingredients of course we have a whole chicken okay i have my poultry blend with herbs which is sage rosemary and thyme have my pink pepperc corn that we’ll be crushing and mixing with our black pepperc corn we have our coarse salt we have our garlic we have our butter okay we have some uh potato some Yukon gold potatoes that we’ll be adding we have some carrots onions celery which I only be using about a stalk of celery stock stalk and a half of celery we have a lemon and we have some avocado oil which is actually optional but I like to use the oil to mix for my herb butter sauce all right hey these are all the ingredients we’ll be using let’s get it let’s go all right guys i did chop up my herb i’m going add about a tablespoon and a half of avocado oil cake start just dumping this rosemary thyme just give it a nice mix cuz what we’re doing is is creating like a paste okay i did use my mortar so we’re going to just little pepper little salt remember we’re cooking a whole chicken so going to be generous with our salt going to be good all right we’re going to sit this to a side and now we’ll start preparing uh the rest of our ingredients all right guys we got our veget veggies cut up went ahead and cut them up um onions i’m just going to just kind of large celery which I which I did use about two stalks potatoes so we cut everything up in nice size chunks so nothing get overcooked and burned we’ll just add a little avocado oil never can get enough of [Music] seasonings the pink pepperc corn is just opens up nice fruity just salt now hey give this a nice mix all right set this to a side hey let’s get ready for our chicken all right guys with our chicken been washed and clean of course you constantly got to wash your hands all right now we’re just going to just take a paper towel and just pat the whole chicken dry so we can create this nice crust to our chicken so we’re going to make sure everything is pat dry and uh we will begin the process now I did place my chicken on a rack above the vegetables cuz I want all of those juices to just fill in and season those vegetables as well so all right guys next step we’re going to go ahead and start with our butter rub butter herb rub that we created just rub it all over the chicken just lather the complete chicken on all sides with this nice [Music] rub same thing here just get it all over and the beautiful thing is when you create this nice butter rub that we created see up under the skin you’ll be able to just create just a my hands on this here just a get up in the up underneath the skin without opening it up yeah all up inside nice rub all up under the skin just creating a nice root juicy chicken all right once we do that now we’re going to go ahead and we’re going to come back with some more seasoning all right guys just like everything else we’re going to just start on our seasoning pepper get all over it pink pepperc corn salt definitely want to salt it all over all on all sides and then we’ll come back and we’re ready to stuff our chicken all right guys now on the inside make sure it’s well salted all over same thing with the pepper yeah all right now I cut my lemon up in quarters stuff it on inside i cut my garlic up and just put the whole thing in there and take the other half you could just throw it with the rest of the vegetables and then I have my blend again just going to just stuff it in there just like that all right come back i’m going to tie our legs together and hey we’ll be ready to cook all right we have our chicken tied and then we’re just going to take just take our leg wings and just tuck it under just like you would do a turkey and then hey we’re going to put it in the oven at 425° for uh about an hour and 30 minutes all right guys we got our roasted chicken out of the oven going to let it rest and all we’re going to do is just cover it up with aluminum foil just like that for about 15 minutes come back be time to plate up all right guys hey we’re looking good we’re going to go ahead and put this on a platter get ready to serve in a taste test all right guys here’s the moment that we all been waiting on is our taste test got to get the vegetables first those juices just plenty of flavor that chicken you guys have got to try this recipe those herbs the pepperc corn peppers hey it’s just amazing hey thank you for joining Simply Kendrick don’t forget to subscribe to this channel hit that notification and share this video as always spreading love god bless
