You will need:
* A cup of water to wet top of Nori
* A sushi mat
* Cucumber
* Salmon
* Cream Cheese
* Avocado
* Plus any other toppings (I sometimes cook the fish skin and add it back in)
1: Place Nori (seaweed paper) smooth side up.
Place a small amount of your toppings about an inch from the bottom of the Nori. (Don't take too long, the Nori will begin to get sticky)
Take your mat and slowly begin to roll around your toppings. Once you've made 1 complete circle, use your finger to add some water across the top of the Nori and begin rolling the rest of the way. Be sure you don't begin wrapping up the mat in with the Nori
Let the roll sit for a few minutes, at least until the nori is damp / sticky to the touch.

Forgot to add, Sushi is crazy cheap when made at home. Think we averaged something like $2 a roll
Respectfully I can’t agree. You’ve done a fine job, so DM the address and I’ll come by on Saturday 🙂
Make sure the fish is flash frozen out of the sea and rated for sushi or you’re gonna get some fun weight loss friends (intestinal worms)
philly rolls are my favorite 🥰🥰
What other protein types could we use here? I’m not a seafood fan, but love teriyaki chicken and those types of things.
Would sushi rice be very bad? Asking for a friend🫠
Another one; replace the salmon and cream cheese with canned tuna mixed with a little cream cheese when needed and mint. It sound a bit weird that mint part. But it is great and another easy/cheap filling for on your sushi-plate.
Nice!!! Restaurant should age this options
Give me some
Has anyone tried ordering sushi without the rice? Do they look at you funny?
It needs another name. Sushi actually means something like “sour rice” and there’s zero rice.
Like calling only cheese, bacon, sour cream, and chives a baked potato.
I often do sashimi, but never even thought about trying to make a roll without the rice! Brilliant!!!!
Great article for those folks who haven’t made (or are leery of making) homemade sushi/sashimi.
