Reminder, when you screw up and your veggies bolt, at least you can use the flowers as a cute garnish.

    I feel this so much. This is my first year. I started in apr. A lot of what I planted was brassicas. 🤣 I live in sc. Its all flowered lol

    Wait, if the plant looks lkke that it means you screwed up?… My corriander looks like that too but I just eat it like normal…

    How do you prevent this?

    I love eating the flower buds from my bolting kale and collard greens! I snack on them when I’m working in the garden. Beautiful salad, I appreciate the reminder that I could use them this way too.

    I always let one of each green bolt. That’s how I get next years seeds.

    I do this a lot. Brassica flowers usually have interesting flavors, either a little spicy or like broccoli.
