To quote Ralph Wiggum, it tastes like burning. In English, Picamas roughly translates to more spicy or more prickly. Very aptly named, very aptly named indeed. This schorcher packs a roasted jalapeno taste that leaves you with an esophageal feel that is akin to spikes penetrating your uvula. It is sure to impress even the most daring lovers of heat. However, if you like a more tame sauce, this is certainly not the one for you. Overall, recommendations may vary.

How can that be if it’s only 15,000 SHU? Also the color is just food dye.
I love that one. I buy the big bottle version
I can’t get past the color. It freaks me out man.
Don’t jump. Americas not that bad
Not hot but decent flavor. It’s an excellent table sauce for the price.
Great flavor!!! horrible texture…it’s like ketchup
I like it on grilled fish tacos and egg tacos. The color is terrible but it really tastes good when I’m not wanting too much heat.
You in PA or NC?
For the price it’s damn good, same with the red one.
Right in the fuckin uvula! Esophageal feel! Death metal hot sauce!
Interesting that we have different perspectives. What I liked about it, was that it was thick and could be spread on a pita, upon which I’d place my usual breakfast egg sammich. I also liked the flavor, and the tang, but found it not very spicy. I don’t think it’ll become part of my staple pantry, for reasons different than yours, but I can certainly appreciate your aversion to it.
Full disclosure, I was a spice wuss about a year and a half ago, until I embarked upon a real effort to connect with spicy foods. If you at least appreciated the flavor, I’d like to think of a day where you might try it again and have a different perspective about the heat as you explore more.
I just got the red one today, also felt too thick, it’s like tomato paste with taco seasoning, it was good on tacos ish? I wasn’t amazed and it seemed limited
It is paste-like and the taste of bad peppers and wet nickels. It is the worst hot sauce I have tried thus far. The price reflects its quality, low.
