Peppers do pretty well in pairs.
VanishedHound
I recommend you thin one out or rehome one of them to a different pot because they are very close to each other so the root systems may interfere

I bought some Bonnie plants recently that had pairs in a few of them. I just left them together rather than fight to detangle their roots. They’ve done pretty well so far. One doesn’t grow as well, as is expected, but it’s still flowering. Let those babies cuddle.

I had 2 or 3 right next to each other last summer. Lots of fruit from them.

I’ve done it before with ones I didn’t have the heart to thin and they do okay if they are fed. Probably won’t get as big as they would alone but they both made lots of peppers.

I’d cut the smaller plant in the 2nd photo. Otherwise, the first 2 look fine to me.

Yes they do okay. Here are 3 in a same pot! Biggest ones I got
Pepper are known for liking to “Hold hands” I would just leave them, make watering more often
I always plant my peppers in pairs. I’ve found they tend to produce more and I think it has something to do with pollination.
I also plant my corn in pairs and experience the same thing.
Let em grow together, they won’t kill each other or suffocate each other, just let them grow together
