The Passport to the Taste of Italy Restaurant Weeks takes place June 15-28. Here are the restaurants participating and how to make your voice heard.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Ahead of the Italian Bowl’s return to Toledo, more than two dozen restaurants are taking part in the Passport to the Taste of Italy Restaurant Weeks.
Thirty restaurants across the area will offer up their Italian cuisine June 15-28, and those dining will have a chance to make their voice heard and vote on their favorite dishes.
When the Italian Bowl was in the Glass City in 2023, the event was only held for a single week. But organizers said restaurant owners and diners said one week wasn’t enough, making this year’s event a two-week affair.
The Italian Bowl is considered the “Super Bowl” for the Italian Football League. The game will be held on June 28 at Glass Bowl Stadium, the home of the Toledo Rockets, as two teams will battle for the Gionni Colombo Trophy.
In 2023, the Parma Panthers beat the Firenze Guelfi to win the title. It was the first Italian Bowl in the league’s history to be held outside of Europe.
