**Aroma:** Beeswax, blackcurrant, wet earth, river rocks, fig, dried juniper, galangal, blonde tobacco, a hint of Concorde grape.
**Palate:** Charcoal, kirsch, a touch of bacon fat, stone, dark chocolate.
**Mouthfeel:** Balanced, not loose but certainly not uptight.
**Finish:** Charcoal, bacon fat.
**Overall Thoughts:** Wonderfully aged; a beautifully integrated wine that is at the edge of its drinking window by my palate. A wine I just can’t fault. I’ve drank this as part of a wonderful evening, and frankly, what more can I ask for?

My favorite Chateauneuf producer! I do love Rayas, Telegraphe, Pegau, etc etc. But Beaucastel edges them out. Esp. with that Roussanne.
