How to Make Delicious Shrimp Pilaf | Easy & Flavorful Recipe

🧂 Ingredients (Serves 3-4):

For the rice:

2 cups Iranian rice (or basmati)

2 tablespoons brewed saffron

Salt to taste

For the shrimp:

300 grams peeled shrimp

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 to 1.5 tablespoons tomato paste

1 teaspoon turmeric

Red or black pepper to taste

Salt to taste

Oil or butter as needed

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prepare the rice:

Soak the rice in salted water for a few hours, then drain.

2. Cook the shrimp mixture:

1. Sauté the onion in a little oil until golden.

2. Add garlic and cook briefly.

3. Stir in turmeric, pepper, and any other spices you like (such as curry or Persian spice blend).

4. Add tomato paste and cook until it darkens slightly.

5. Add the shrimp and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until they change color. Be careful not to overcook to keep them tender.

3. Layer and steam:

1. Grease the bottom of your pot with oil (add a crust layer if you like).

2. Alternate layers of rice and shrimp mixture.

3. Drizzle the brewed saffron over the top.

4. Cover with a lid and steam on low heat for about 40 minutes until fragrant and fluffy.
