Shoppers are rushing to social media to rave about Aldi’s latest sweet invention. The supermarket has once again struck a chord with shoppers over its dessert range, with a new Italian-inspired offering hitting the shelves.

The much-hyped dessert is Aldi’s new tiramisu gelato. The product is part of Aldi’s Specially Selected range and can be found for £2.49 for a 480ml tub.

Taking to social media to share their delight, shoppers posted photos of their Aldi purchases to popular Facebook pages Food Finds UK Official Snack Reviews.

Made in Italy, the indulgent treat blends two much-loved traditional desserts.

The gelato is given a boozy twist swirled with a splash of Marsala wine and also features a rich coffee sauce.

Other fans shared videos of the gelato on TikTok with one saying “why is no one talking about this”.

Aldi took to the comments, joking: “so good you started before recording”.

One commented that they were “drooling” and asked “has it got a strong coffee flavour?”

Another user replied saying “yes but it’s not overpowering”.

Another similarly asked about the alcohol flavour with another saying that in their opinion the flavour was “just a hint but not overpowering”.

Aldi’s pistachio tiramisu was also recently spotted on shelves.

The is described as a “sponge biscuit soaked in a coffee sauce topped with pistachio mousse and roasted pistachio nut pieces.”

The dessert comes in a pack of two small round tubs for £2.49.
