Currently on vacation and just enjoyed a box of these. Thinking of maybe bringing some canned fish home. I’m only traveling with hand luggage this time, is it a bad idea to try taking some with me? Has any of you had luck getting them through security? It feels like the liquid content should be less than the 100 ml limit?

I had no issues taking tinned sardines in olive oil on 2 domestic U.S.A. flights last week.
The liquid won’t be an issue, but check rules in the country of departure. Some countries only allow food purchased in the airport (such as in the duty free stores) to be carried on.
For a sec I thought you were asking if its cool to eat canned sardines during your flight.
I went from Strasbourg to Barcelona with 6 cans and 3 people inspected them in the airport. They were really confused about what to do with that but finally they handed them to me and they said ok you’re good to go.
Yes, the key starter questions are: Where will you depart and where will you land?
They made canned fish out of my most common misspelling of PayPal? That’s wild.
i never see that can of taco please enjoy the taco can
In europe they cannot go in hand luggage only checked in luggage
BTW they are really nice, I brought ten tins home to UK last week from Reus, Spain.
I brought 13 cans back from Spain and Portugal but in my checked luggage.
