Basbousa aka harissa ❤️

Ingredients:
2 cup of semolina
1 cup of dessicated coconut
1/2 cup of sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup of melted butter
1½ cup of yogurt
Almonds

1½-2 cup of sugar syrup for pouring

Recipe:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
2. Add all the ingredients except the yogurt to a bowl and mix well until combined. Add the yogurt to the bowl and mix well until a thick batter forms.
3. Add the batter into a greased baking dish and press well. Make diamond shapes on the batter using a knife and press almonds on each diamond shaped piece.
4. Bake for 50 minutes at 180°C or until it turns golden. Pour the sugar syrup and let it soak up for a hour. Cut into slices and enjoyy!!
