I have a pretty decent tolerance for spice — not competition level, but higher than most people I meet. I grow my own reapers and use the powder pretty frequently on stuff. I’ve had lots of other reaper stuff before and that was pretty spicy but nowhere near this. It tastes like chemicals, so there wasn’t even any good flavor to go with the ass whoopin it dished out. I think there might be less capsaicin in bear mace.

I’ve had it a few times and have come to settle on the extra hot because I prefer the actual taste of that one. Reaper seems to be less about flavor and more about bragging rights.

It’s a lot! But if you eat it a little at a time its not so bad. I thought it tastes pretty good considering the heat 🥵😋

I’ve read that it has to do with the location. Mine was also beyond spicy and even had a quarter inch of orange color soaked into the chicken. Must have been in the marinade for days.

  4. The first Dave’s in my city just opened right across the street from my condo. I just got back to town and can’t wait to try the Reaper, I’m in Canada so I hope it’s not watered down I want the full experience.

Just wait until tomorrow morning. Good luck.

Looks like that bottom chicken is gonna give you a left hook to the large intestine

The reaper just tastes like powdered chemical. If you like extracts a lot, then it’s for you. Otherwise, miss me with that. I grew up with spice (Asian) but I’m not going to add it to my food for the sake of it. That’s exactly that the reaper was like to me

The hot was actually pretty good. I was able to feel a burn whilst enjoying my food

I find them to be inconsistent but maybe its just me

It helped me realize I don’t like the taste of reapers. Tastes like moldy, earthy butthole.

Yeah, the reaper is just made to hurt, not much in the way of flavor, the extra hot is where it’s at.  I think if they added more brown sugar to the reaper it would smack pretty hard

    Had a reaper tendie once and it was B r u t a l.

I say this as someone who has had da bomb, the End sauces, completed the one chip and death nut 2.0 challenges.

The reaper by me just smells chemical. Extract city and pretty darn hot. It’s a growing heat and it for sure is one of the hottest things I have eaten. I have since stuck with extra hot and that has great flavor with a small kick.

The flavor isn’t great and I was also unimpressed by the fry on the chicken. I stopped a little more than halfway through mostly because I felt like it wasn’t worth the heartburn I was probably gonna get eating it on a whim on an otherwise empty stomach lol (got a milkshake on the way out and was fine, luckily).

  14. Yeah extra hot is where it’s at. The reaper is a one or two time then fuck that kinda deal. A lot due to the taste to like you said.

I could tell you weren’t fucking with this because you took the picture after a half tender

Doesn’t even look good . I hate when people make things spicy to just be spicy with no flavor. You need the flavor with the spice or it’s just a gimmick and pointless.

went for the first time yesterday, the extra hot cauliflower one tasted quite good but didn’t break a sweat. ordered a reaper and I ate half before I surrendered and packed it up
