Pizza is a freezer staple that we always have on hand for busy weeknights, weekend parties, and everything in between. While many of us have our go-to frozen pizza brands and varieties, there’s typically freezer space for one more—especially when it’s a flavor that piques our interest.

When it comes to frozen pizzas, it seems like everything has been done before. From styles, like deep dish and French bread, to toppings, like Hawaiian-style and even breakfast foods, you might think you’ve seen it all in the frozen pizza aisle. But, Tombstone, the Nestlé-owned brand known for its ultra-thin crust pizza, will have you thinking again.

Tombstone is releasing a first-of-its-kind French Fry Style Crust Pizza.

Tombstone Launches French Fry Style Pizza

Allrecipes / Tombstone

Pizza and french fries are the ultimate late-night craving, so Tombstone is putting them together with the first-ever french fry crust frozen pizza. The new pizza features a crispy potato crust, making the offering gluten-free, and is served in two classic french fry topping flavors: Loaded Bacon Cheddar and Chili Cheese.

Tombstone’s pizzas were originally created in a bar in the Midwest, and there’s no better bar food than loaded fries. So, much like a plate of french fries piled high with cheese, creamy sauce, and meat, its Loaded Bacon Cheddar French Fry Style Crust Pizza is topped with a Cheddar cheese sauce, mozzarella, more Cheddar cheese, bacon, and pork belly. Tombstone’s Chili Cheese French Fry Style Crust Pizza features a potato-based crust covered with hamburger chili cheese sauce, mozzarella, Cheddar cheese, red onion, and parsley.

As someone familiar with putting french fries on everything—see the Pittsburgh salad and Pittsburgh sandwich of my hometown—Tombstone’s new french fry crust pizzas sound like the ultimate comfort food.

The new French Fry Style Crust Pizzas join Tombstone’s other unique Garlic Bread Crust pizza in the freezer aisle this summer. The ultra-crispy potato-based pies will hit grocery retailers, including Walmart, in July.

With croissant crust, garlic bread crust, and now french fry crust, what could be next in the world of pizza?
