So I meal prepped 7 days of this creamy chicken pasta recipe. Each dish according to the ingredients is 915 calories, 58g protein, 35g fat and 76g carbs.

However, I look at them and just don’t believe they have all that protein and calories in them?! I’m not convinced almost. (There’s about 1kg chicken breast)

Does anybody else get this? I’m trying to get into meal prep for my weightlifting. Thanks

    Sorry just to tell ingredients:

    1kg chicken breast
    450ml double cream
3 chicken stock cubes with 500ml water
    509g rigatoni
    2 tins chopped tomato
X2 packets of 40g Cajun seasoning
    150ml olive oil

Could anybody tell me if I’m deceiving myself with those macros? Each container contains two large scoops of the food but obviously the chicken wouldn’t be evenly spread across all

The meals look small because they are incomplete. No judgement. Add serves of vegetables or salad to round them out.

  3. If it were mine, I’d pack the remaining space in the containers with fresh spinach, steamed (or thawed/drained) broccoli, etc. It’ll give you some fiber + vitamins and help bulk it up. Looks delicious!

Your portion is small because you’re using a large amount of calories in oil and cream. You’ve also included no fluffy veggies to bulk up the sizing.

Roasted broccoli would go well with this dish. Mushrooms and spinach would also be great.

The macros do not sound correct. 450ml double cream and 150ml olive should already be 350g fat, which is more than 50g fat per serving. The amount of carbs and protein is too high per portion (unless you are using 1kg cooked chicken). Also, those macros combined are around 850kcal

Maybe you’re mixing up raw and cooked macros?

I’m sorry I can’t help with your question, but that looks so good. Do you have a link if you used a recipe?

It looks very rich, the portions probably reflect that.

These portions don’t actually look small lol your containers just seem big, this would fill an average bowl

+1 on adding broccoli to this, it would fit the flavor perfectly and you could add a ton of volume. looks great regardless of the macros convo
