Hi all,
I’m hoping someone here can offer advice. The top vent on my Kamado Joe broke off where the ceramic connects with the dome. I tried to repair it using Rutland Castable Refractory Cement, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to bond the pieces together.
Has anyone successfully repaired a similar break? Is there a better adhesive or method for reattaching ceramic to ceramic in this situation? Or is this a case where I need to replace the dome entirely?
Any help or experience you can share would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Shannon
P.S. Does anyone know the series of the grill I own? It came with the house and I do not have the manual.

Looks like a series 2.
You need a new dome. It’s the same part for series 1 and 2.
