I think you just needed the cake to be taller. Another inch or two of cake would have given you the height you need to hold all the piping and not make it look so squished.

I think it looks adorable!! I agree with another poster that a smaller cake stacked taller would’ve given you more room for the piping, but it still looks great as is.

I really wish everyone would stop saying they like yours better, it’s so cute! But that inspo is of a specific Sanrio character named Cinnamoroll. If she wants that character, she’s going to be disappointed. It looks more like a baby shower cake to me. I’m sorry, I just want to give you another perspective! It IS beautiful.
