Went to check out plants this morning and saw this. Super frustrated. Already hard enough to grow stuff from seed.

Stake it up. If it’s not completely broken it could heal. I’ve had them break and heal up using a combination of a stake, duct tape(inside out like a bandaid/splint) and string. Sounds ridiculous but it worked for me the one time I tried. I was extremely surprised 🤣

Those guys take too long to germinate and wait for peppers for me to give up. Maybe it could work for you too? Good luck!!

  2. you could still try to make the brocken half into a cutting and hope for both parts to grow fast enought back to give you a few chillis.

  3. This reminds me of coming out in the morning only to find amy lovely pepper plants dug up from squirrels. Usually I can get them back in the soil but I lose a good amount every year. This year I I made little fences around my pots with cut chicken wire. So far it’s working. Not sure if your issues are weather related or critter related. But I feel your pain

Root it. get a stem of about 3” with a few leaves at the top, dip in rooting hormone, stick in very moist soil, keep moist and covered in shade

  5. Oh no! It hurts to see this happen. All the efforts, from germination to repotting. Sorry for your loss

Agree with everyone saying try to save it. I had a disastrous summer last year with only three sprouts, one then eaten completely by a snail and my cat used the other pot as a toilet. He ripped both sprouts in it out and I found them trashed on the ground the next day. One’s roots were still okay-looking, even if the leaves had been torn off, so I repotted it. Not only did it grow back but it survived the winter with no care from me and is producing fruit already.
