Why did no one tell me gardening is an addiction?!?! This is my first year and I went “full send” as my friends like to describe it and put up a total of 10 raised beds, varying sizes. Well it’s going so well that I added four more this weekend!! So happy with how well it’s turning out AND also loving sharing this with my two boys who love dirt more than me!

I just spent $200 on new beds and soil for a garden at a house I’m hoping I won’t be living in next year just so I can grow more stuff this year. The addiction is real and it’s outta control lol.
Your plate looking very healthy. What fertilizer or pant food you are using?
I am also an obsessed gardener now in my second year.
I really love your garden!!!
Haha I’m so glad I’m not alone. My first year too and I am mostly doing grow bags and containers, but I keep adding more and more and my mom keeps insisting nobody goes this big when starting out. 🤣 but its so fun playing with seedlings and watching them grow. And then am I supposed to cull them all? Heck no. 🤣🤣🤣
What tomato variety is that? It looks very productive!
Have you seen the green stalks yet? I’m not telling you to look at them….(yes I am!)
Wonderful job and welcome to the club. Few things are as satisfying as providing nature the opportunity to do its magic!
It’s ok , we are all addicted ! It’s a great hobby to be addicted 😊 it’s more addicting, once the plants started fruiting and harvesting! It’s a great feeling! Happy Gardening
Did you set up your raised beds directly k on n the grass? They look great.
You’re one of us.
One of us.
One of us.
I gardened at my old house, took 2 years off (last year in the military and they sent me a way from home, then I was in a new house and trying to figure out life out of the military) but I dove back in this year.
9-20×20 115 quart planters.
8-24 inch round planters
9-5 gallon buckets
6-15 gallon grow bags.
3-30 gallon grow bags.
2-50 gallon grow bags.
1-7×2 foot elevated planter
4-4×2 foot planter
1 3×2 foot planter
A few smaller pots
A bunch of different sized hanging baskets
And a few plastic greenhouses to go over some of the above
And I currently have about a 70% native/nativar garden that is set up to produce a ton of berries, bulbs, and edible plants material next year (including salal berry, bunch berry, strawberry (about a million different types from natives to cultivars), blueberry, raspberry, serviceberry, Honey Berry, mulberry, silver weed, Camas, nodding onions, etc) plus some annual veggies and native pollinator food (native Columbine, native lupine, etc).
I…..think I might have a problem lol

The healthiest of addictions but yes, definitely problematic for the pocket book 🤓
Ohh my wife is making fun of me daily. I bought I raised garden bed and in the matter of a month we have 4 strawberry plants, 4 bell peppers, blue berries, cucumber, broccoli, spinach, cherry tomatoes and Roma tomatoes now.
What kind of tomatoes are those in the second pic ?
Little secret, there will never be enough beds
So addicting. I have a tiny yard but I’m determined to use all that I’ve got
I’m finding gardening itches my ADHD brain so good. There’s new shit happening all the time! I start a new seed, seedling growth changes every day, something blooms, a new leaf pops up, there’s something to learn about a new plant, fruit, or veg. Something new every day to learn and experience and it makes the dopamine go brrrrrrrrrr
Looks GREAT! I really like the beds. Where did you get them?
Yay!☀️🌈
IT IS AN ADDICTION, but in the best way 😊!! it has become my new morning routine… And lunch time routine… And evening routine. It’s done wonders for my mental health and being able to eat or admire what I was able to grow is a feeling unlike any other.
I built huge raised beds with 2×6” boards and those concrete corner pieces from Lowe’s/Home Depot. I subsequently moved on to a million and one grow bags as well.
But I warn you – whatever you do, don’t decide to grow hydroponically in the off-season, (and have endless tender greens of every sort, peppers, tomatoes, herbs, etc all winter long) and start collecting numerous table top units (AeroGarden type units) that you can put anywhere. THAT is beyond addictive with how rapidly everything grows.
Also the amount of soil we pay for in new raised beds! I am confident that I have spent half of a first class ticket to Hawaii in bagged soil.
Looking good!💚🫛🥕🥒🥬🫑🍅
My son loves it too. It’s his third garden season now and he tells me “mommy let’s go look at the plants” like everyday.
it is sooo addicting lol
Maybe you will join team seed savers?
Oh boy, when that bug bites you. I have seeds everywhere and not enough room.
Your garden look great!
What really hits hard is when you go full send and do “everything like I did it last year” and then nothing works. Glad to see your garden is looking so good so early.
First year here! Everything was doing amazing and then it all bolted, I’m so sad but gonna keep on keeeping on
