This video shows the easy way to harvest dill for the foliage to use as an herb. Its pretty straight forward but if you’re new to growing dill it’ll give you the confidence you need to start harvesting your dill. This method works with young seedlings as well as older plants that are getting ready to bolt. The idea is to harvest 2/3 of the foliage to leave enough for the plant to recover from and continue growing.

this simple method of harvesting dill has treated my plants well though they are starting to look a little bit beat up from all the sun they’ve been getting soon I’ll be pulling these guys out and replacing them with other things but I figure I can get one or two more harvests out of these guys this method works well with older plants like mine or younger seedlings harvest about 2/3 of the outer leaves aiming for the larger ones but you only pick about 2/3 so that the plant can recover fairly straightforward but I hope that helps
