Super excited! My snap pea plants are the healthiest plants in my garden. I lost some strawberry fruits to fungus today 😠BUT I HAVE PEAS FINALLY! All is not lost. So excited!

Congrats OP! I have been picking up snap peas from my garden for a week now. Taste delicious! My kids really enjoy picking them up.

I fucking love peas. Not because they’re my favorite vegetable but because they’re so satisfying to grow. My plants have been eaten alive by aphids, flea beetles, and slugs. They refused to grow on their trellis despite me gently wrapping their tendrils for them every morning, and instead chose to climb each other. They created this tangled buggy jungle and still give me tons of peas every day. I swear by the time I get from one end to the other, new peas have already popped up back at the beginning. Sometimes I harvest twice a day. And now they’re filling up with ladybugs and lacewings.

The ones I have in a container are huge! But still no flowers. 😠The ones I had planted in ground suddenly shriveled up and died. When I investigated I found that the rabbits chopped each one at the base. Bastards.
