*Spanakopita: Greek Spinach & Feta Pie*

_Ingredients_

– 1 onion, diced
– 1 clove garlic, minced
– ยพ cup olive oil
– 2 lbs frozen spinach, chopped
– 2 bunches fresh dill, finely chopped
– 3 scallions, chopped
– 2 eggs
– 14 oz feta cheese, crumbled
– 1 tsp salt
– pepper to taste
– 1 lb phyllo dough (about 6 sheets)

_Bake the spanakopita at 350ยฐF for 35 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Once you remove it from the oven, let it cool for 10 minutes before serving._

  1. Wow!! โคThis is my area, as a Greek..๐Ÿ˜… It's one of the best Greek pies, if not generally! Thank you!! Simple, quick, and really delicious! And yours, though it differs a bit, yes! Looks yammy, and this is the general idea! Just without the garlic.๐Ÿ˜ŠBut i never say no, trying something new.. Personally I make it the simple way, I buy the spinach prewashed in bags, mix everything together, definitely some salt and lots of pepper, olive oil, and put them in fillo…and that's it, perfect every time!โคโคโคThanks!!!โค

  2. Spanakopita should have ricotta in it. All that feta will make it way too salty. And also, fresh spinach please, baby or normal but always fresh.
