A second coating after the first sets would probably make it look more like icing

Maybe add a bit more powdered sugar or cornstarch to thicken the icing? I agree with the comment that a second coat might help. Maybe the tiniest bit of blue food coloring to make it more white?

I’ve learned you have to let the rolls cool first then add it. Less jizzy lol

If you add more powdered sugar it will get thicker. Basically, you can mess with the ratios of icing until you get the consistency you want since it’s just powdered sugar and milk.
