Here are some better pictures. The bottle was stored in a living room cabinet for years (standig upright). How would you proceed if you wanted to sell it?

Worthless unless stored properly. Novelty value only.
Contact Christie’s. It’s a major auction house with offices in many different locations and a specialist fine wine department. They will know how to process it. There are other auction houses but this is not an easy case, in part because of what u/mattmoy_2000 and I [discussed yesterday](https://www.reddit.com/r/wine/s/pSUrBUczfA), the selo being over a part-burnt wax.
The really good thing here is – it’s Madeira, it doesn’t die. But with lack of provenance and the mess of the wax on top, you will not get top dollar.
P.S. the back label states it was indeed rebottled. But the specifics of how it looks are still looking sketchy. Christie’s will know how to deal with it. If they reject it, try Idealwine, a French web-based wine-specialist auction house.

I’m not an expert, but my concern as a buyer would be that this had been rebottled with something else, as the top looks a bit messed up, and obviously it being so old.

Picture 6 shows the top of the bottle chipped?
