The markets successfully recreated the charm of France’s iconic open-air marchés, renowned for their fresh, high-quality produce and warm, friendly vendors. From various French spirits such as cognac and armagnac to cheeses, cold cuts, and iconic desserts like crêpes and crèmes brûlées, French GourMay Market created an immersive experience for visitors who indulged in a carefully curated selection of classic delicacies in the heart of Hong Kong’s fast‑paced urban rhythm.
A refreshing pause—a chance to slow down, relish simple pleasures, and connect with the community. Strolling through stalls, families and friends enjoyed the convivial atmosphere of a traditional French marché. Whether sampling a freshly baked apple tart or selecting a bottle of Armagnac, Hong Kong residents embraced a taste of French embraced a taste of French joie-de-vivre into their daily lives.
Cultural Performances
Beyond gourmet offerings, the markets delighted visitors with a vibrant program of live performances and hands-on workshops. Co-presented by Chinachem Group and French May Arts Festival at Central Market, French contemporary dance company Cie Racines Carrées animated the event with “Hip Hop x Trampoline” Performances and Urban Dance workshops.
Their artistry combines acrobatics and hip hop on trampolines, creating a spontaneous and poetic urban dance experience. Bodies soar through the air as if in orbit, transcending boundaries to bring art and dance to all. Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the artists through interactive workshops.
Loyalty & Gifts
This year, in collaboration with meed, a Hong Kong‑based mobile app the festival launched a “Collect Stamps and Redeem Gifts” campaign. Consumers who spent at the market collected digital stamps by scanning the Meed QR codes at participating booths. Those who gathered the required number of stamps were rewarded with exclusive gifts, including a French GourMay drop-stop, Häagen-Dazs ice cream, a limited-edition French GourMay tote bag and a French GourMay limited-edition Lucaris rock glass. All gifts are available while stocks last, on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event attracted enthusiastic crowds eager to experience French culinary culture and lifestyle, making the 11th French GourMay Market a memorable success.
