I always enjoy a bit of bread with my woody herb stems…

It’s oregano definitively; zaataar is a type of oregano

Very likely oregano, maybe majoram, but its not a widely used herb. Definitely not sage

  4. That’s oregano. As for why you would do that though I have no clue since it would just burn.

Well that’s definitely oregano. I have a ton of it growing in my garden, That seems like a weird way to cook with it though.

You can floss your teeth while you eat the bread. Timesaver

Oregano- which isn’t especially woody but stemming your herbs isn’t a bad idea.

Burnt before the bread finishes baking.

Why not just add oregano (or possibly Italian blend) to the dough when making it so you can actually enjoy the flavors instead of burning the herbs while baking?

That’s not an edible dough is it? That’s a pate Morté (dead dough) or a salt dough meant for a decorative bread piece.

I say this because of 1) the oregano is just silly to use like that 2) the dough looks super heavy and dense, there’s been no rise in it.
