My naga plant has a flower that has, what looks like, a chilli developing inside of it. Just wanted to confirm that’s actually a chilli? The plant has been dropping some of its flowers lately ( mostly ones from lower down ), is this normal?

  1. These are chillies,yes.
You plant has leaves that curl upwards on the edges and another sign of overwatering would be bubbly structure on the leaves.
Do not water them when you can feel moisture in the soil, you can watch the plant as well if it lets the leaves hang and the leaves get very soft you need to water, but I’d stick a finger into the soil and not wait for leaves to drop.

All chilli/pepper plants will drop flowers don’t worry about it.
