Apologies for the lightning!

Got these delivered last week after ordering from Oh Grow Up!

Haven't gotten to try all of them but of the ones taste tested so far:

The OG Chilli mayo: Really nice kick. Builds heat well but the creaminess of the mayo balances it out.

Spicy Swine Bacon Chilli Mayo: Bacon incarnate! Nice kick again but only complaints were that the bottle seemed to be only 2/3s full and the bacon flavour though definitely there(!) overpowers the overall taste. Nice kick again. Think I'll be mixing it with some of the OG in future to dilute the bacon concentration.

Haven't tried the Mango and Pineapple yet but will report back once done.

Lava lullaby: was a gift for one friend with a very low spice tolerance. They've reported it's really nice. A bit more of a kick than they were expecting despite being mild but the flavour is nice and he appreciates that the heat, though more than his usual tolerance level, is decent. Said there was a sweetness to it that counteracted the spiciness.

Snot So Spicy: Gross label 😂 spice level mild/medium as described by the creator. The green chillies in this are gorgeous. I've used it on chicken and in omelettes and on burritos. Works really well. Sweet spicy and zesty. Will definitely try it in a salad soon as suggested by the guy who makes it.

Devil's Kiss: Spicy medium rather than mild/medium. Really nice. Was gorgeous added to a blue cheese and pepperoni pizza. Would be a good one for people who like to mix it up rather than always beating your tongue (and butt) with pure spicy. Flavoursome with a nice build up. Good tongue tingle feel too.

Ring of Fire: Medium bordering into hot. Build up of spice is far more rapid than Devil's kiss. I loved it, my partner feels it's probably to the upper limit of their tolerance. Spicy but doesn't overwhelm the flavour. Absolutely brilliant in burritos and was gorgeous added to cottage cheese for a quick protein rich snack post gym. Going to try it on some homemade pork and beef mixed burgers soon as imagine the spice will mellow out well with the fattiness of the port mince.

Cowboy Kick: gift for someone so can't advise. Flavour notes are Chipotle and BBQ. Medium to hot. Will report back once giftee has received and tried it.

The Grim Keeper: Again noted as a medium to spicy but I'd lean more to spicy hot. Tried it on comte and it was gorgeous. Think this one will come out more for cheese boards and snacking. Will mix it into sour cream in the near future for burritos. I'd say it would also work very well added to a tomato sauce for pasta. Good strong kick, again flavour there. Slightly briney but this works really well with dairy and gives a "bite" to things.

Silly Billy: this was the second item I was most curious about. Advertised as extra hot and yep, the description doesn't lie. My partner refuses to even sniff this one! I loved it. If you want "punishment" level of got, Silly Billy will give you a good beating. Spice kick is immediate when it touches the tongue and continues to build. Not one for the faint of heart. This was absolutely gorgeous with some blue cheese. The acidity and spice is perfect. Would be tempted to add this to some diluted honey as I think it would make an unreal dressing for a garden salad.

Bee-lzebub Honey & Chilli Relish: this is what caught my attention and got me to place an order in the first place. The maker said it was a medium to hot level but I'd say the batch my jar came from was hot hot hot. This isn't a hot honey, it's compounded crushed up chilli (lot of seeds so extra spicy) with a diluted but delicious honey. This has a proper kick! The honey, when tasted with the chili bits removed, has a delightful heat to it. Tongue will sing. When tasted in its full form of honey and chilli this is a gorgeous motherfucker of abuse. Really really fucking spicy. I added some to a homemade pizza (more pizza, I know) and it stole the show, every other ingredient just faded into the background. This is a relish for a proper spice head. It is super spicy and is definitely something I'll order again. It's also crazy addictive so I'll likely be placing an order in the very near future.

Lastly Proppa Mint That Like mint sauce: okay not a spicy product but I did add to the order. Personally this wasn't what I expected and I wonder if the batch wasn't quite right. There wasn't any taste of mint sadly, despite it being mostly mushed up mint. This was just briney and nothing. Disappointing but I genuinely think I must have just gotten a jar from an off batch as all the other products I've tried from Oh Grow Up! Were extremely good.

Overall what I know I'm definitely reordering in the future:

  1. Silly Billy.

  2. Ring of Fire.

  3. Snot So Spicy.

  4. Devil's kiss (for my partner mainly but also to keep my tolerance from going too far)

  5. Bee-lzebub Honey & Chilli Relish (as many jars as I can 😅)

  6. OG Spicy Chilli Mayo.
