It’s very cute and I love the surprise eggs inside! It’s a really delightful cake, and I wouldn’t consider it a fail at all
Also, and I’m almost certain this if because I’m on my phone and the screen is small, but I was v confused at first because I thought this chicken was covered in mac and cheese! I was wondering how you got it to stick and also trying to figure out where the melted buttercream was. But it did give me a silly idea for a version of this that would hold up in the heat – and that’s a savory version with piped mashed potatoes. As in, take the concept of a scotch egg, make it giant and chicken shaped, and cover it in mashed potatoes

Now this is a cake with some character! Chickens fluff their feathers up & make them look just like this all the time. I think you get an A+ on this. Warm weather buttercream is a bitch, but this is one cute chick!
